Jason Duval

A Leonida Keys native who served in the Army before returning to work for local drug runners. Grounded, practical, loyal. The more physically capable of the two — trailers show him in shootouts, chases, and what appears to be a boat heist.

What makes Jason different from past GTA protagonists: he's not a blank slate power fantasy. The relationship with Lucia gives the narrative genuine weight that GTA V's three-protagonist structure sometimes diluted.

Lucia Caminos

The series' first non-optional female protagonist. From Liberty City, imprisoned at Leonida Penitentiary for "fighting for her family." More strategically minded than Jason — Trailer 2 shows her planning and navigating Vice City's social landscape. Speaks Spanish in several scenes. Rockstar treats her Latina identity as character depth, not window dressing.

Supporting Cast

Cal Hampton — prominently featured in official Trailer 2 screenshots, role and faction alignment unknown. Fan speculation is running hot.

The Dual-Protagonist System
