Pre-orders for GTA 6 went live today, June 25, at the official Rockstar Games site: rockstargames.com/VI. This is the moment LeonidaHQ has been tracking since the November 19, 2026 launch date was locked.

Here is the clean read.

What is confirmed

  • Pre-orders are live. The official edition listing and pricing is now at rockstargames.com/VI.
  • November 19, 2026 is launch day. Rockstar confirmed this on the Newswire. It is not moving — our full reasoning is in Why GTA 6 Probably Won't Be Delayed a Third Time.
  • The official pre-order URL is rockstargames.com/VI. Retailer listings on PlayStation Store, Xbox, Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop all point back to the same SKUs. Any site claiming to offer a different or cheaper version is a scam.

The edition structure

Our pricing analysis — published in The $90 Question — modeled the most likely structure before today. The short version:

  • Standard edition: $90 base case. Every Take-Two earnings call since Q3 2024 has telegraphed a premium launch price. Strauss Zelnick's language — "pricing based on value delivered" — was about as loud as a signal gets without a press release.
  • Deluxe edition: ~$120. Base game plus an in-game currency pack and early access to GTA Online. The only upgrade with real gameplay value if you plan to go Online on day one.
  • Ultimate edition: ~$150. Deluxe content plus collector's items and exclusive cosmetics. Multiple retailers had $149.99 USD in their internal systems before today's announcement.

Check the official Rockstar page for the exact numbers — these are our pre-announcement predictions, not the confirmed retail prices.

Should you pre-order now?

The honest answer depends on how you play.

Pre-order the Standard if: You are a day-one player and want to guarantee physical allocation. Online launch demand will spike inventory fast.

Pre-order the Deluxe if: You know you are going Online hard in the first month. The in-game currency and early access are the only edition upgrades that change the gameplay experience. The rest is cosmetic noise.

Wait if: You are price-sensitive. GTA 6 will be available in the $59–69 range within 12–18 months of launch. Take-Two always discounts in the Holiday 2027 window. The launch-month premium is a tax on urgency, not on the game.

Pre-order bonus reality check

Rockstar's history is cosmetic-only pre-order bonuses — exclusive outfits, vehicle color options, account XP credits. None of it affects gameplay in any meaningful way. Buy for the game, not the bonus. This is not a title where the pre-order extras are worth upgrading editions to access.

Where to buy

The Rockstar official store is the cleanest option for digital — you get pre-load privileges and direct account linking. Major retailers (PlayStation Store, Xbox, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop) are all carrying the standard and deluxe SKUs. Some retailers are bundling their own minor bonus items — check each retailer's GTA 6 page for current offers, but do not make your retailer choice based on cosmetics.

The bigger picture

Today's pre-order opening is also a price-reveal moment for the entire games industry. Once the Standard edition price is confirmed, EA, Ubisoft, and Sony all have cover to move their next AAA tier to match. Watch the earnings call language from other publishers in Q3 2026.

The LeonidaHQ map evidence stays active through the full marketing window. The pre-order opening is a commercial milestone, not a map event. Trailer 3 has not been officially scheduled as of today.

Check rockstargames.com/VI for current confirmed edition details and pricing. Pricing figures above reflect LeonidaHQ's pre-announcement analysis based on Take-Two financial signals and retailer data — see The $90 Question for the full methodology.
